This is the first band I ever played in, "The White Tornadoes". The guy with the beard is Truman Carter, a guy I worked with at Peoploungers (a chair factory). He is now a policeman. The guy in the plaid jacket is James West. James drives a sweeper truck that sweeps mall parking lots around Tupelo. The guy with the cowboy belt buckle is David Parker, who now works at the court house in Tupelo. We played only one gig as a band, opening for the country group Shenandoah at the Civic Center in Tupelo in 1989. The opening act was supposed to be Garth Brooks, but the promoters decided to use us instead because no one had ever heard of Garth. |
